Some call him the best Kasi Rapper in the country, while some others say he's simply the best South African rapper in the game right now. Regardless of what your views are i'm sure we can all agree that Siya is definitely the business. Straight from the days of "Iqaba" (the freestyles on the Siz n Scoop mixtapes) this nigga hasnt lost any momentum, in fact i'd even go as far as saying he's accelerated faster than a father and son testing out their new porsches down the highway in Jhb.
This latest set of visuals is the official video for Bojwala, which can be found on his album IQABA and also as a single for the mixtape TTP Presents Hip Hop Sessions Vol 2
As a bonus i have included another smash video from Siya, this time he's accompanied by Chaka Dolla. The video is my current favourite video nationally (you will soon understand why, as soon as you hear the head nodding beats on this track) and im hoping for more flair from the homie! The track is called AboMaquzu and its track 5 off Siya's album IQABA
Pro Verb has always been a Picasso with words, with wordplay that inspires and heals. It's been a long wait for this set of visuals to drop and it has been definitely worth the wait! Expect to see cameos from wordsmiths like Napo Masheane, Kojo Bafoe and Lebo Mashile. The visual imagery and wardrobe also deserve a mention. Hit play and enjoy some good music!
Always known for tackling controversial topic matter, the group’s sophomore project, Masters Of The Dark Arts, (release date July 31 2012) finds them once again in torch-bearing mode, addressing subjects that most artists shy away from as ILL BILL illustrates “as conceptually and musically dark as this album appears to be, there's also a flip side layer to it that you may not notice until you listen to it a few times. Masters Of The Dark Arts is a storm before the calm and a celebration of the good things in life that can only be achieved by walking directly into the heart of darkness and facing your inner demons head on."
While the group’s roster has been trimmed slightly due to Everlast having to leave the group (for personal reasons), La Coka Nostra returns re-invigorated and fresh off of a recently completed seventeen-city European tour which saw them rock crowds in eleven different countries “I think we approached Masters Of The Dark Arts with a chip on our shoulder and really took it back to our original mission of hardcore Hip-Hop amidst all the circus bullshit that is so prevalent in the current landscape of the genre. We are aware of the perception that somehow the group has suffered a loss we can’t recover from and in response we made an album that is the most conceptually focused and hardest hitting soundscape in the group’s history” Slaine asserts.
La Coka Nostra’sMasters Of The Dark Arts will impact on July 31 2012 and be released by Fat Beat Records.

Now that Chuuwee’s Crown Me King mixtape has properly set the table for his official debut LP, Wild Style, Chuuwee is gearing up the promo machine and getting back to what he does best; make dope music.
Wild Style can be summarized as pure 90s Hip Hop, where Chuuwee is taking the classic elements of the golden era with the look, sound and the feel and then applying them to the present day. Inspired by Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, Big L, De La Soul with even hints of DMX, Wild Style promises to be Chuuwee’s break-out project, one that will showcase him as being a frontrunner lyricist from Hip-Hop’s new school; while also paying homage and respect to the great pioneers of the 1990’s. “Wild Style is the album that’s going to eradicate weak rap off the face of the map. It is the return of real Hip-Hop. It’s pure and it’s not me trying to re-make it. It’s not me telling you its 90s Hip-Hop; it is 90s Hip-Hop” says Chuuwee. The Recent recipient of XXLmag.com’s “The Break” (which will be surfacing soon) joins fellow Amalgam Digital label mate Max B as Chuuwee jumps on the remix of “Money Makes Me Feel Better.
