I didn't realize that there were such a thing as
Canadian Idol. The only thing I know about Canadian
Idol as that one of the top winners (Ok, she only won third place, but still, she made it all that way on Britney Spears energy) for the fifth season of that show was Carly Rae Jepsen. You might know Carly Rae Jepsen as the teenage dance music performer who's burning up the top ten charts with her hit single
Call Me Maybe. Well, Canadian Idol has been on the air for six seasons now and never changed the primary judgeing panel of rock star Sarah "Sass" Jordan, music promoter and manager Farley Flex, multi talented producer, manager, lawyer and musician Zack Werner and manager Jake Gold. As far as I know, Carly Rae Jepsen is the only contestent of
Canadian Idol to cross over to the United States of America. No other contestant of
Candian Idol ever made it that far. Who knows, there could be a huge wave of
Canadian Idol winners soon arriving on the United States of America music scene someday soon. I'm still waiting for the top two winners of the fifth season of
Canadian Idol, Jaydee Bixby and Brian Melo to cross over to the United States with a top ten hit single like third place winner Carly Rae Jepsen has done.
As I'm lost in thought about
American Idol and it's northern counterpart
Canadian Idol, here are some photos of
Canadian Idol contestant turned rock star Carly Rae Jepsen.
