Aldred leaves the house, Replacement on Monday

Aldred:

“Nagkandahalo halo na kasi sa isip ko… Gusto ko po sana magtagal.. Hindi po ko makapag-isip ng maayos. Wala na po ko sa sarili ko.”,came Aldred’s explanation to Big Brother on why he wanted to voluntarily leave the house. “Pinipilit ko pong makisama. Di ko kaya. Dami po ko iniiisip. Alam ko wala ako sa sarili ko.. Ito po ang pinakamabuti sa akin, sa kanila, sa lahat. Na-tense po talaga ako dito. Hindi ko na po kaya. Nami-miss ko na pamilya ko. Gusto ko na po sila makausap.”

 

Big Brother:

 “Nalulungkot man ako, pagbibigyan kita sa iyong desisyon. Naging bahagi ka ng aking bahay sa maikling panahon, nais kong sabihin say o na mahalaga ka sa akin at alam ko rin na kahit maikli lang ang nilagi mo sa bahay, naging mahalaga ka rin sa kanila, trinato ka nila bilang higit pa sa kapatid kung di bilang isang kapamilya. Despite staying for only a week, the Kilabot na Valedictorian ng Pasay already made a very good impression among his fellow teen housemates. Fred, Bam and Gerald admired his quiet ways, his determination to help his family and his resoluteness. Mikki, the Orig na Astig from Davao and the Teenstar Wannabe Olyn seemed most affected as the two girls were the closest to Aldred. Aldred even changed Mikki’s perception on men and even said that “ngayon lang ako naka-meet ng guy na mabait. Napaka-sweet nya”. Olyn cited Aldred as a responsible young man. It can also be observed that the boys became more emotional than the girls with Fred, Bam and Gerald shedding buckets of tears while the girls appeared calm. Obviously, the teen housemates are going to sorely miss their favorite chef around the house.

Before leaving the house, Aldred even prepared a special meal for his fellow housemates. He even shaped the barbecue sticks into letters that spelled M-I-S-U which seemed to say that he will miss all of them when he leaves. He even placed flowers in their plates and cooked their lunch for today extra special. Wonder how the teen housemates will fare now that Aldred, the only one who can competently cook around the house, has already left them?

I didn’t expect that Fred and Gerald will be that affected upon hearing that Aldred will voluntarilty leave the house. The two things that they’ll always remember is that he’s a good listener and he has this determination to help his family.

As for any voluntary exit, there will always be a replacement. Find out on Monday who the new housemate is.

Malakas ang ugong ng balita na nag- (o mag-) voluntary exit si Aldred anytime today (or tomorrow). Malaki ang naging kasalanan nito sa organizers ng PBB. Isinaad sa rule book ng PBB Teen Edition na dapat ay mga teens ang dapat kasali with an age bracket of 16 to 18. It turned out that Aldred will still be 16 come June. So ngayon, out-of-age-bracket nga si Aldred.

Sinabihan si Aldred inside the confession room about this matter last night. Balisang balisa ang binata kung ano ang gagawin niya sa paghalungkat ng isyung ito. Kaninang umaga, pinatawag ang lahat inside the confession room at nasa gitna si Aldred. Baka nakapag-decide na itong mag-voluntary exit at ipinaalam na sa lahat ang desisyong iyon sa ibang housemates. Abangan nalang natin ang susunod na mga kabanata.

A Roxboro woman has filed a formal complaint with a local school board after her son was disciplined by a lunch program monitor at Ecole Lalande for eating in what she says is a customary Filipino manner.

 

Luc Cagadoc’s table behaviour is traditionally Filipino; he fills his spoon by pushing the food on his plate with a fork, his mother, Maria Theresa Gallardo, says.

 

But after being punished by his school’s lunch program monitor more than 10 times this year for his mealtime conduct — including his technique — the seven-year-old told Gallardo said last week that he was too embarrassed to eat his dinner.

 

“Mommy, I don’t want to eat anymore,” Gallardo says Luc told her at the kitchen table April 11. “My teacher is telling me that eating with a spoon and fork is yucky and disgusting.”

 

When he eats with both a spoon and fork, instead of only one utensil, the Grade 2

 

student said the lunch monitor moves him to a table to sit by himself.

 

Upset over Luc’s story, Gallardo confronted the lunchtime caregiver the next day and on April 13, she telephoned the school’s principal, Normand Bergeron. His reaction brought her to tears, she says. “His response was shocking to me,” Gallardo, who moved to Montreal from the Philippines in 1999, told The Chronicle. “He said, ‘Madame, you are in Canada. Here in Canada you should eat the way Canadians eat.’

 

“I find it very prejudiced and it’s racist. He’s supposed to be acting like a professional. This is supposed to be a free country with free expressions of culture and religion. This is how we eat; we eat with a fork and spoon.”

 

Luc’s father, Aldrin Cagadoc, was also surprised by the comment. “I can’t believe even the principal would say that,” he said. “A person of that calibre, I wouldn’t expect him to say that.”

 

Gallardo, who operates a day care out of her Roxboro home and is close to completing her studies in early childhood education, wrote a letter last week and lodged a formal complaint to the Commission scolaire Marguerite Bourgeoys (CSMB) yesterday.

 

She disagrees with the lunch monitor’s approach to teaching children how to eat and says it is emotionally abusive to Luc. When she questioned Bergeron about punishing students for their table habits, she says he replied that, “If your son eats like a pig he has to go to another table because this is the way we do it and how we’re going to do it every time.”

 

But Bergeron says it was Luc’s eating technique combined with his behaviour at the table that was inappropriate that day, which is why he was moved. “Luc can be turbulent,” he said yesterday. “Like other children, he is frequently in situations where we have to intervene. It’s normal, he’s a child. He is in a period of learning.”

 

The principal of the 387-student Roxboro school said he explained his position on using two utensils to Gallardo during their telephone conversation. “I said, ‘Here, this is not the manner in which we eat.’

 

“I don’t necessarily want students to eat with one hand or with only one instrument, I want them to eat intelligently at the table,” he said. “I want them to eat correctly with respect for others who are eating with them. That’s all I ask. Personally, I don’t have any problems with it, but it is not the way you see people eat every day. I have never seen somebody eat with a spoon and a fork at the same time.”

 

CSMB spokesman Brigitte Gauvreau says the board will not comment — due to confidentiality procedures — until Gallardo’s complaint is filed and she makes a public statement.

Aldred: Voluntary exit?

Aldred….

Hayyy… Sayang siya if he decides to leave the house tomorrow. I guess sure na na he’s going to voluntary leave the house tomorrow night coz na cancel na nga ang nomination. He has super inferiority complex (hehe). If i were him, he’ll pursue and magkanda hirap hirap na wag magpaka-op coz he made it this far and ang sisira lang sa kanya ay ang pagkamahiin nya. Akala ko pa naman matalino siya. Nonetheless, there’s a brighter side waiting for him, he’s got the looks of a pinoy artista.

America didn't Pick'her...

Awwww… Kellie Pickler was voted off last night… Well, (unbiased here ^_^), I really thought that she had the worst performance and deserved it. Katharine and Chris (my other two picks) were safe.

Randy Jackson called the song "strange," while Simon Cowell compared Pickler to "a robot." But it was Paula Abdul who was uncharacteristically critical.

"I don't see you raising the bar each week," Paula said. "At this point, it is about greatness, and I don't feel that in you."

New AIDS Gel Brings Hope

Researchers recently stated that a gel, against HIV virus for women may be available by 2010, if testing is successful.

Gita Ramjee, director of the HIV prevention research unit at South Africa's Medical Research Council, affirmed, at an international conference, that these microbicides, or vaginal gels, can stop the virus when men forget to use condoms.

Microbicides take the form of a gel, cream, sponge or ring that releases an active ingredient witch can kill
or deactivate HIV cells, during sexual intercourse.

5 clinical trials, involving 12,000 people in South Africa and thousands in other countries, started and the results are expecting to be released in 2 years time. In many parts of the world, more women are infected than men.

In sub-Saharan Africa, 60% of people carrying the HIV virus are women and the majority of new infections are acquired through heterosexual intercourse.

A microbicide which is 60% more effective against HIV and used by 20% of women in 73 developing countries over 3 years could prevent 2.5 million infections.

Zeda Rosenberg, from the International Partnership for Microbicides, said that the $140 million spent yearly on microbicide research is not enough. "If our resources in the field could be doubled each year for the next 5 years, we could really get a lot of products into efficacy testing and maybe get some of them through".

"With no proof yet of their effectiveness, microbicides are still too risky an investment for companies," said conference organizer Helen Rees.

Pickler Falls Flat

The six remaining Idol contestants last night took a shot at love – love songs that is, and while hopefuls, Chris Daughtry and Elliot Yamin excelled, Southern Belle Kelli Pickler fell flat.

It was thumbs up for Chris Daughtry, 26, of McLeansville, who chose to sing "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman" by Bryan Adams.

Kellie Pickler, (my personal fave) however, didn’t do well almost three weeks in a row already. Her song was "Unchained Melody," made famous by the Righteous Brothers and revived by the 1990 movie "Ghost," starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. I thought it was boring and monotonous as Simon commented.

 The 12 teen housemates are as follows:

• Gerald Anderson, 17, is an American boy from General Santos. He is your typical boy-next-door who loves basketball. He considers the sport his life and passion. As PBB housemate, he hopes to learn all the house chores Kuya will give him. His edge over the others, says Gerald, is his being true to himself.

• Niña Atienza, 17, comes from Assumption Convent. A dead-ringer for Iya Villania, Niña describes herself as one who is sosyal outside but jologs inside. According to her, she joined PBB for two reasons: to help her family’s finances and prove something for herself.

• Mikee Lee, 16, is an Atenean. He not only has good looks, but the brains to match. The guy is a geek. His grade in Math is 99. The bemedalled student ranks fourth in his class and values education and family a lot.

• Kim Chiu, 16, is a Cebuana. She joined the reality show to help her family and be discovered as an actress. She acts, sings and dances.

• Bam Romana, 16, is the house clown. A Centro Escolar University student, Bam is playful and loves to crack jokes. Aside from winning, his mission is make his housemates and Kuya laugh and laugh.

• Olyn Membian, 16, is a gimikera. This fashionista loves to live it up. She is also into singing, dancing and acting.

• Fred Payawan, 17, has the build of a hunk. Tall, dark and handsome, this CAT (Citizen’s Army Training) officer at Colegio de San Agustin is into hosting and photography. Just like his military dad, he values discipline in mind, heart and body.

• Clare Cabiguin, used to join beauty contests to support her family in Bukidnon. Her ambition is to be part of showbiz.

• Aldred Gatchalian, 16, is another hunk. This class valedictorian from Parañaque is also a good cook. A good singer, Aldred says he’s not afraid of anything. So Kuya should be ready.

• Mikki Arceo, 18, takes pride in her independent-mindedness. She will do what she wants even if this doesn’t conform the beliefs of others. She says she has no pretentions.

• Matt Evans, 17, is a Boy 2 Quizon look-alike. His sharp features betray his Fil-Am lineage. Matt played a bit role in Kampanerang Kuba. He loves rock music.

• Jamilla Obispo, 18, is a single mom. She joined the show to raise funds for her son, who needs five operations to correct a cleft palate and cleft lip. Like all moms, she wants to give her son a normal life.

High school shooting avoided thanks to MySpace

Five students have been arrested after planning to perform a shooting at their high school in Riverton, Kansas. The plot was foiled after one of the teens posted a message on the popular networking website, MySpace.

School officials were informed who then followed up the tip-off with the pupil in question and his friends. One of the students involved in the plot then revealed the plans to a North Carolina woman who immediately informed police.

Police acted quickly and four were arrested in their houses, whilst another was taken out of school. Officials found an arsenal of guns, knives and ammunition hidden in one of the students rooms as well as coded messages.

Police have not revealed the names of the would-be-gunmen, but the five range between 16 and 18 years of age.

The MySpace message discussed Adolf Hitler's birthdate and the Columbine shooting - both of which fall on April 20.

Unfortunately the love of gaming shared by the plotters has been highlighted by some publications, refreshing the distorted 'games equals violence' view shared by so many across the world.

Thankfully the plot was stopped in time, but had the unmentionable occurred much of the world's media would have probably used the event as propoganda as to why video games are inherently evil.

Killer Nurse Faces Life in Jail

British male nurse Benjamin Geen killed 2 people and injured other 15.

A nurse in Britain has been found guilty of murdering 2 patients by deliberately injecting them with lethal doses of drugs.

Benjamin Geen, 25, waited for vulnerable patients in the emergency department of the Horton General Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire, after which found a way to get involved in their treatment.

The patients’ condition deteriorated and Geen was there to assist them. But his intervention proved to be lethal in 2 cases and damaging for 15 other patients he injected with drugs.

He murdered David Onley, 75, from Deddington, who died on 21 January 2004, and Anthony Bateman, 66, from Banbury, who died on 6 January 2004; both of the patients had been admitted in the hospital seriously ill and did not stand a chance once Geen took "care" of them.

The trial at Oxford Crown Court showed how Geen injected the patients with lethal doses of insulin, muscle relaxants and sedatives which prevented them from breathing, the man enjoying to revive them.
He even bragged to his colleagues saying: "There is always a resuscitation when I'm on duty." One of the doctors astonished by the unexplained respiratory failures which happened between December 2003 and February 2004 decided to take action.

He found that Benjamin Geen was the common factor in every one of these unusual events. The prosecution said Geen must have known the fatal consequences of what he was doing but found that toying with patients' lives was a "price he was willing to pay in order to satisfy his perverse needs."

Bucky says Simon is unhelpful

Bucky Covington, the latest contestant voted off "American Idol," says the comments of judge Simon Cowell are no longer helpful.

"It seems like he used to give advice, but now he doesn't give advice as he does try to put you down," said Covington, 28, a country singer from Rockingham.

On Tuesday, Covington sang a version of rock band Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls." Cowell called his performance "mediocre." The following night, Covington was booted off the Fox network show.

Covington said Cowell will never like singers like himself or contestant Taylor Hicks.

"For him to like someone like me or Taylor is out of the question. No matter what we do, he's not going to like us. We're just not his thing," he said.

His departure slimmed the "Idol" hopefuls to seven. The winner is set to be named May 24.

Difference Between Sunscreen & Sunblock

Some sources attempt to male a distinction between the definition of a sun block and sun creen and other sources use the terms interchangable.

There are two types of products that protect the skin from the sun's damaging ultraviolet radiation: chemical and physical products.

Sun screen is classified as chemical, while sun block is physical (physical sun screen).

So to repeat, a sunblock is suppose to physically block the sun's UV radiation of the skin, both UVA and UVB.

To help understand the difference between UVA and UVB just think about the last letters:

• UVA: Is sometimes called the "Aging Ray"
  
• UVB: Is sometimes called the "Burning Ray"

Sunscreens actually absorb the ultraviolet B radiation, thus and reducing the amount of radiation that penetrates the skin that causes burning.

But while sunscreen lotions prevent burning they are less effective at blocking out UVA rays

Chemical sun blocks scatter, reflect, and physically block UV radiation. The most well-known chemical sun block is zinc oxide.

Cheaper Malaria Drug on the Horizon

Scientists are working on a new and cheaper method to synthesize a very effective drug against malaria. Under the name of Artemisinin, the drug is currently expensive to manufacture and is refused to many people in the developing world.

The drug is used for treating multi-drug resistant strains of Plasmodium species, proving to be almost 100% effective, and comes from a plant called Artemisia annua. Natural supplies of the plant
are limited and also synthesizing the drug is a very expensive process.

Researchers have now created a modified form of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, capable of producing large quantities of artemisinic acid, the main component for the anti-malaria drug - Artemisinin. Malaria infects about 500 million people a year, killing more than 1.5 million, especially in Africa and Asia.

The disease is caused by the one-celled parasite carried by mosquitoes called plasmodium, infecting mainly young children. The team of scientists from the University of California and Berkeley, is hoping to reduce the costs by stimulating bacteria to produce artemisinic acid.

This bacteria grows faster than yeast, offering a more productive source for the acid. Doctors already managed to create a strain of yeast that can churn out large quantities of artemisinic acid, which, after a few chemical processes, can be administered to patients suffering from malaria.

"While we have made a lot of progress in the past two years, there still are a lot of unknowns. Now that we've got all the parts, I feel it's just a matter of time before we have a microbe ready for scale-up to production," said lead researcher - Professor Jay Keasling.

"Fattest Fast-Foods" in the U.S.A.

Danish doctors warn that French fries and chicken, coming from the American McDonald's and KFC, may contain more trans fat than those in other countries. Steen Stender and his colleagues from Gentofte University Hospital in Hellerup, Denmark, report in a medical journal that the levels of unsaturated fatty acid, known as trans fat, may vary from country to country.

While traveling for other reasons, during November 2004 and September 2005, these doctors ordered “a large serving” of French fries (171 grams) and chicken nuggets
(160 grams) in 43 U.S. and international McDonald’s or KFC restaurants, analyzing the food’s total fat and trans fat content.

These fats are found is some margarines and many processed foods made with or fried in partially hydrogenated oils. They raise the levels of “bad cholesterol”, or LDL, also increasing the risk of heart disease. The foods with the highest levels of trans fat were found in McDonald’s restaurants in New York, Peru, and Atlanta and in KFC restaurants from Hungary, Poland and Peru.

"The cooking oil used for French fries in McDonald’s outlets in the United States and Peru contained 23% and 24% trans fatty acids, respectively, whereas the oils used for French fries in many European countries contained only about 10% trans fatty acids, with some countries as low as 5% (Spain) and 1% (Denmark)," the researchers said.

"McDonald's continues to work diligently on ways to reduce TFA levels in our fries," McDonald’s responded in a statement. "Our reduction in the U.S. is taking longer than anticipated, as we have previously announced. However, we continue to progress in our testing and we are determined to get it right for our customers."

Bucky booted off from Idol.

OK. Pahiya ako. Ahaha. I really thought Ace was going, so did everybody else I knew who are avid watchers of the show. Although it wasnt surprising that Bucky got booted off ‘coz I personally don’t think he was flexible on different genres. He bores me too.

But basing it on their last performances, Ace deserved to leave.

Well, that’s the real definition, for me though. I’ve participated in a lot of Myspace trains or more popularly known as “Whore Trains.” Whores=picked up. get it?

Whore Trains are effective. I’ve gain like a hundred friends from maybe 20 postings in the MySpace bulletin. haha… Desperate. Although you need to input the last name and email address in most cases, so it would be more likely impossible to successfully add the train “passengers/hoppers” especially these are total strangers. (unless they configure these on their myspace settings.)

At the end of a religious gathering on Sunday to mark the birth of Islam's Prophet Muhammad, a stampede killed at least 29 women and children in the southern part of Pakistan.

20,000 women with their children were gathered in the Faizan-e-Madina mosque in the eastern district of Karachi to mark the birthday of their prophet, which takes place on Tuesday.

According
to witnesses, the crash occurred when a woman bent down to pick up a young girl who had fallen, thing which caused people behind the woman to trip.

"I heard a girl crying for help and a woman stopped to pick her up. When the woman stopped, there was a wave of people who stepped over us. Someone pulled me to the side and after I gained consciousness, I was in the hospital," said a 40-year-old woman involved in the incident in which 29 people were killed and over 100 injured.

Hafiz Hassan Attari, of the Dawat-e-Islami missionary group which is in charge of running the center, said: "numerous innocent lives perished, (but) they embraced martyrdom and we pray for their eternal peace."

A Karachi police official, Asif Ijaz Sheikh, said that the police is investigating the stampede, which appears to be an incident. "We will ask the center's administration to take steps so that such incidents do not happen in the future," he added.

These kinds of religious gatherings are often accompanied by stampedes, especially during the hajj pilgrimage to the cities of Medina and Mecca in Saudi Arabia. In January, over 360 people were killed in Mina and 1990 hajj stampede killed 1,426 pilgrims.

7months pregnant with Brad Pitt's child, Angelina Jolie is interested to star in the “Ocean's 11” second sequel. The reason is more than obvious - the chance to team up again with “major love interest” Pitt.

Needless to say the studios and director Steven Soderbergh would really like the sexy actress to accept their proposal as the on-screen couple would guarantee a big Box Office hit (such as the movie that teamed them up as a couple – “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”). Still Mrs. Pitt has to give birth and nothing has been signed yet.

Jolie must first take some time off to recover and get back into shape after the birth, but as the shooting is due to start in mid July, she can easily take her time.

Angelina Jolie would replace the sole female character of the movie, previously played by Catherine Zeta-Jones (whom the viewers didn't quite sympathize).

Until things are made public, the only sure to take part in the movie actors are George Clooney, Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck and Scott Caan.

George Clooney has just won an Academy Award for best supporting actor and Matt Damon is to join the team after working with Martin Scorsese for an American remake of the cult Hong Kong thriller Infernal Affairs, named “The Departed”, the movie is now in the post-production stage.

More Information About the Biggest Extinction in Earth's History

“The average temperature was around 40 degrees Celsius for thousands of years.”

The biggest extinction in Earth history happened 251 million years ago, wiping out 90 percent of all marine species and 70 percent of all the land vertebrates. Scientists don't know for sure what caused this event and many suspect an unfortunate coincidence of several destructive factors such as volcanoes, an asteroid impact and the climate change caused by the relative recent formation of Pangea (the unified continent).

John Roth, the natural resources specialist for the Oregon Caves National Monument, has now found a black strip, made of graphite, flowing through the cream-colored marble of the Oregon
Caves' walls. According to Roth, this is evidence of massive global warming caused by high levels of carbon dioxide.

"It was the biggest extinction by far of all time," he said. "Geologists and paleontologists all agree on that. [...] The extinction that killed the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago, that wasn't anything compared to this. [...] It's kind of scary that we don't know for sure what caused the worst catastrophe of life on this planet."

According to Roth, the high levels of carbon dioxide are surely at least part of the answer. It is estimated that temperatures were around 40 degrees Celsius year-round for thousands of years.

"We had a runaway hothouse effect because of the excess carbon dioxide," he said. "There was so much carbon dioxide introduced into the atmosphere, mostly from methane from the oceans. [...] That carbon dioxide build-up alone would have killed off most oxygen-breathing species."

What's interesting is that these graphite lines were not formed inside the caves – as these caves are only around half million years old. In fact, there is a pervasive graphite layer all around the globe dating back to that period and the formation of the caves has only allowed us to observe this layer but doesn't have anything to do with its formation.

The Missing Link Between Fish and Four-Legged Land Animals Was Found

 

One of the most fascinating evolutionary stories is the story of how the fish grew four legs and eventually turned into land animals. What makes this story so interesting is that it exemplifies a basic non-intuitive feature of how evolution works. Everyone can understand that something, like an organ, gradually changes in order to better fit a certain job, but often this is not what happens in evolution. It's not the function that creates the organ, it's the organ that creates the function. The organ often develops for some reason, being part of something or whatever, and at some point it starts to have a new function, its own function. Thus, the organs are not like some sort of tools developed to fit some predetermined purpose inside the organism.

The evolution of tetrapodes (the four legged animals, from frogs and dinosaurs to birds and humans) from fish exemplifies this process twice: first when the legs and fingers were developed, and they were not developed for walking; and second when the ears were developed, and they were not developed for hearing.

Now scientists have found the missing link between an already known fish, called Panderichthys (which lived 385 million years ago), and the tetrapods Acanthostega and Ichthyostega (which lived 365 million years ago). The newly discovered animal has lived about 375 million years ago and is called Tiktaalik roseae.

"I would say it's a key transitional form in the fish-to-land animal transition," said study co-author Neil Shubin of the University of Chicago. "It has features of both fish and tetrapods – we call it a ‘fishapod.'"

The team discovered several well-preserved fossils having a length ranging from 1 meter to 2,75 meters, from nose to the estimated tail, in the layered rock in Ellesmere Island in Canada. The site today is almost 1000 kilometers above the Arctic Circle, but 375 million years ago it was near the equator. "Outside, it's a classic Arctic scene," Shubin said. "But inside those rocks is a tropical world."

On the fish side, Tiktaalik had gills, a fish-like jaw, and scales. However, it had a mobile neck and it could lift its head above water. Its crocodile like snout suggests it probably bit its prey, rather than sucking on it like a fish. Moreover, it was probably capable of supporting its own weight under water. The animal probably lived in shallow streams.

"If you look at joints of limbs, you can tell that the thing could perform a fish version of a push-up," said Shubin. "It could bend its elbow and flex its wrist. It was certainly capable of supporting its body underwater, in the shallows, or in mudflats with its limbs."

However, the animal was incapable of actually walking because it could not rotate its shoulders, so he must have dragged its body around like a sort of seal.

Not. The soulful idol was booted out of AI last night. Unsurpisingly, Kellie (my personal favorite ^_^) and Bucky were safe. Over the early weeks, Mandisa has been a powerhouse. Country music just wasn’t her thing. 

The Paris-Nicole Catfight continues..

Last year, the blond Hilton seemed very sympathetic for her former best friend now foe Nicole Richie. She said: "I am really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement. I went through the same thing. With Christmas coming up, I realize I really miss her and want to get in touch again."

That came as a total surprise to most people, but things between the two blonds got back on the hatred and verbal girl slaps agenda again. This time, Paris throws all of her bad remarks at Nicole as there are serious talks about a brand new season of the show they co-stared in – “The Simple Life”.

What does Miss Hilton say about her former best friend? That she is “in need of fame” she can't get on her own (that means not without Paris being around), that she looks terrible and that, well the message is as clear as possible,:Paris Hilton is a diva and Nicole Richie is nothing, nada, niet.

“The Simple Life” might still be shot and shown on TV, but without the two spoiled “artificial divas” sharing the same shot or ever having to meet face to face on the sets or in the show.

Paris Hilton said: “We're under contract, but I don't want to do it. They want to do it with just me, but we're both under contract together. She has nothing else, so she really wants to do it, but I don't. It's really pathetic that she needs to use my name to sell something because she's obviously not enough. I've been best friends with her since I was two, but when I brought her into my show, she got very jealous and turned on me for no reason."

If Miss Hilton would take a minute to consider other people's (and some of them are former friends) feelings and opinions about her, she might see the reasons.
