DRAMA FILMS CONTINUED.....

Normally, I wouldn't be saying this out loud. Mel Gibson's behavior has been destructive to say the least. How tasteless can anybody be to become a chronic alcoholic and commit adultry while making a film biography of Jesus Christ of all things. Then get the extra-marital misstress pregnant, then start using the post pregnancy lady as a punching bag. Don't get me started on the anti-semitism. Still, Mell Gibson's latest movie THE BEAVER actually starts to show some promise. A happily married father of two sons becomes depressed and can only communicate with the world through a hand puppet. The hand puppet is the titular beaver. While Mel Gibson speaks with a mixture of Australian and American, the beaver hand puppet speaks with a british accent. I never knew that Mel Gibson could actually speak with a fluent british accent. I'm not sure if his character was a former army officer. Still, THE BEAVER might end up bombing in the box office because of Mel Gibson's self-destructive tendencies, but THE BEAVER might actually be something worth checking out anyway.
