WHAT YOU SEE ON TELEVISION ISN'T HAPPENING IN REAL LIFE

The above photographs are of Kerri Russel. She was the star of the only J.J. Abrams televison show that actually made sense. The show I'm talking about was FELICITY. It was a show that aired on what eventually became the CW network about a female freshman in college who suddenly abandons medical school plans her father made. She then travels all the way from California to New York City to either study art or architecture at a lesser known college and based her decision on hormones and not logical reason. While the first sixteen episodes of the fourth and final season appeared to give the indication that the title female in question named Felicity Porter changed her mind and attended medical school in California after all. It all turned out to be a dream sequence and she really ended up in a lunatic asylum following the death of two important cast member characters. The final episode was nothing more than a clip show that barely had any relevence to the rest of the show.

While it's tempting to compare the television show FELICITY to the tragedy of Amanda Knox, it should be kept in mind that FELICITY aired on television between 1998 to 2002. Meredith Susanna Cara Kercher died November 1, 2007. Amanda Knox was found guilty on December 5, 2009 and was sentenced to thirty years in jail. Plus, the Amanda Knox tragedy took place in Italy while the television show FELICITY took place in New York City. Still, it's easy to confuse the two. Anyway, while FELICITY isn't light television show watching, it's still a fantastic television show to watch anyway.
