Yahoo! Philippines OMG! Awards 2012 Winners – Full List

Kapamilya stars dominated the winners list of the recently concluded Yahoo! OMG Awards 2012! After over 4 million votes garnered online, Anne Curtis is Celebrity of the Year.

After 4,102,720 votes cast in a period of four weeks, Yahoo! Philippines revealed the most popular web celebs at its second annual OMG! Awards on Friday, July 6, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Taking home the most prestigious title–the Celebrity of the Year award–was Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis who garnered 86,545 votes beating Shamcey Supsup, KC Concepcion, Sam Pinto and Marian Rivera.

Winning the Major Impact award with 102,827 votes was the Star for All Season, Gov. Vilma Santos. The Batangas Governor won over other contestants in the category that included Dolphy, Sharon Cuneta, Sen. Bong Revilla and Nora Aunor.

The Comedy King–Dolphy–on the other hand, received a plaque of recognition from Yahoo! Philippines for his contributions to the entertainment industry. The icon who is gravely ill continues to make millions of Filipinos laugh and forget about their problems through his films and TV shows.

Vice Ganda and Toni Gonzaga to Star in "This Guy's In Love With You Mare"

Blockbuster film outfit Star Cinema + Blockbuster director Wenn Deramas + Blockbuster Queen Toni Gonzaga + Blockbuster Phenomenal Star Vice Ganda = surefire blockbuster comedy movie "This Guy's In Love With You Mare".

Vice and Toni have announced that they will soon star in comedy film "This Guy's In Love with you Mare."

When asked to describe his expectations of this project, Vice quickly said: “With all humility ito yung movie na kakabog sa Praybeyt Benjamin. Hahaha!”

“Kasi katulad dati, ‘di ba sabi niyo nakakapressure kasi yung sinundan ng Praybeyt Benjamin yung No Other Woman. Dinedma ko yung pressure. Sabi ko nga kini-claim ko yung victory, pinagdadasal ko, at alam kong merong kalalagyan itong pelikulang ito. Basta ang ine-expect lang namin e magiging masaya yung gagawin naming pelikula. Third movie ko ito with Direk Wenn Deramas.” the comedian added.

Slated to hit theaters in October 2012, "This Guy's In Love With You Mare" also stars Luis Manzano under the direction of Wenn Deramas.

Luis Manzano to Guest on Showbiz Central!

Luis Manzano is expected to cross over to the Kapuso Network as guest in Showbiz Central.

This is actually a deal made by rival networks (ABS-CBN and GMA-7) in exchange for Jennylyn Mercado to guest on Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, Luis Manzano will guest on Showbiz Central.

Jennylyn’s guesting stint in her boyfriend’s game show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” is set to be aired this Saturday, April 28, as part of Manzano’s two-part birthday celebration. Last week, no less than Gov. Vilma Santos, Luis’ mom, graced his game show as celebrity player.

Luis expressed how happy he was that Jennylyn was allowed to appear on ABS-CBN. He said, “I am really very thankful to her for making my birthday celebration extra special.”

Since Jennylyn has fulfilled her part of the deal, Luis is set to fulfill his part as well. Soon, he will cross over to GMA Network to appear on his girlfriend’s showbiz talk show “Showbiz Central.”

Luis Manzano Seals Deal with Housemates of ‘PBB Teen Edition 4′

Actor-host and entrepreneur Luis Manzano made a special appearance in “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4” Monday night (April 16) to guide the teen housemates in launching a thriving business for their “Big Deal Task” this week.

Banker of the top-rating game show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” sent the host to the famous house where the ‘negosyanteens’ were tasked to start their own business with the Banker’s P10,000 capital.

Big Brother then challenged the teen housemates to conceptualize, produce, and sell a profitable product that will be sold to the public this week. Drawing insight from Luis’ advice, what product will the housemates come up with?

To segregate the housemates into two groups, Luis staged a “Deal” game with the teen housemates in which they got to play as ‘contestants’ like in the popular game show. However, instead of cash amounts, the briefcases contained two colors that represented the groups the housemates would be belonging to.

Meanwhile, fans of the program can have a peek into the minds of the teen housemates as they tweet about their experiences and thoughts using the hashtag #PBBTweets. Subscribe to their tweets straight from the famous PBB house on the program’s official account, @OfficialPBB4.

Jennylyn Mercado Plays on Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal!

Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado set foot on ABS-CBN grounds Thursday, April 12 for her guesting in the game show Kapamilya Deal or No Deal hosted by her boyfriend Luis Manzano.

Her guest appearance on the game show is one of Jennylyns’s gifts to her boyfriend, who will celebrate his 32nd birthday on April 21.Jennylyn Mercado was introduced by Luis Manzano as someone very close to his heart. Being a guest player in Deal or No Deal, Jennylyn had the chance to bring her friends, mother and Alex Jazz, her son with actor Patrick Garcia. Since Jennylyn came from rival network GMA-7, she was very nervous on her first take inside ABS-CBN studios.

“Syempre different station, so medyo iba ‘yung feeling, kinakabahan, nakakapanibago. Iba ‘yung mga taong nakakasalubong mo,” Jennylyn said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

“Ngayon ko lang naramdaman ‘tong nerbyos na ito,” she said, when asked by boyfriend Luis Manzano how she feels being on the show.This Saturday, Princess and I lead stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will be answering the question "Is it a deal or no deal?" The said episode was taped last March and the kilig KathNiel tandem will surely spice up the Saturday evening.

In the teaser, Daniel said, "Pinapatagal ko lang (yung pagpili/game) para makasama ko 'to (referring to Kathryn who's beside him).

Luis Manzano says he will press charges against the couple who allegedly tried to rob a cab driver working for him

Kamakailan lang ay naharap sa malaking kontrobersiya ang TV host-actor na si Luis Manzano tungkol sa panghoholdap sa kanyang taxi driver.

Noong nakaraang Linggo, Marso 25, ay lumabas sa Rated K ang mga suspek na mag-nobyo na humihingi ng tawad kay Luis dahil nagawa raw nila ang mga bagay na iyon dahil sa matinding pangangailangan.

Noong Marso 29, Huwebes, sa pangalawang presscon ng Moron 5 and the Crying Lady na ginanap sa Citybest restaurant sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City, ay nakapanayam ng ilang press at ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Luis tungkol sa kaso.

Tinanong namin si Luis kung napanood niya ang apila ng mag-nobyong nagtangkang mang-holdap sa taxidriver niya. Patatawarin ba niya ang mga ito?

“Oo! Napanuod ko yun. Eto, yung punto ko—kung sakaling patawarin ko silang dalawa, anong halimbawa ang ipakita ko sa mga empleyado ko?

"Na hindi ko sila pino-protektahan?

"Nag-tangka sila [yung mga suspek] sa kompanya ko at higit sa lahat nag-tangka sila sa empleyado ko," ang sabi ni Luis.

“Eto yung sitwasyon ha…Hindi man lang nila tinutukan ha.

"Ang holdap na ginawa nila ay hindi man lang sinabi na, 'Akin na yung pera mo.'

"Kundi, tinuluyan nila yung driver ko. At habang sinusubukan nung lalaki saksakin yung driver ko, sinisipa naman siya nung babae, ayon sa report ito nung driver ko ha."

Kung sana daw ay hindi nila ito "tinuluyan," ayon kay Luis.

"So, ang habol nila ay mapatay yung driver ko. Buti na lang napihit ng driver ko yung manibela kaya tumama sa trak.

"So, kung saka-sakali lang na patawarin ko sila, pinapakita ko na hindi ko pino-protektahan yung mga empleyado ko.

"Higit sa lahat, may pamilya yung driver ko. Ako, boss lang ako nung kumpanya at nung driver ko, e di ba tatay yun? May asawa yun, may pamilya yun.

"Mas sila dapat ang sumagot niyan, kung patatawarin nila," ang sabi ni Luis.

"Pangalawa, kung sakaling mapakawalan yan at meron silang tirahin uli.

"Anong sasabihin sa akin nung susunuod na  pamilya na mabiktima nila?

"Pinakawalan mo, di sana buhay pa yung anak or asawa ko. Babalik sa akin yun.

"Kaya tayo may batas, may kailangan tayong sundin," ang sabi ni Luis.

Dagdag pa niya: “Saka may mga kasosyo ako, although ako yung majority stock holder.

"Ang sa akin pa rin ay gusto kong protektahan yung mga empleyado ko.

"So, kahit minsan, gusto kong ipakita sa mga empleyado ko na  protektado kayo at walang pwedeng gumalaw sa inyo at sa kumpanya natin.”

So, tuloy ang kaso para doon sa suspek na mag-nobyo?

“Yes, ongoing ang kaso, so nandun yung imbestigasyon na nangyayari.

"Ako on my side, itutuloy namin yung kaso.

"Gusto kong ipakita sa mga empleyado ko na pino-protektahan ko sila.”
