Yahoo! Philippines OMG! Awards 2012 Winners – Full List

Kapamilya stars dominated the winners list of the recently concluded Yahoo! OMG Awards 2012! After over 4 million votes garnered online, Anne Curtis is Celebrity of the Year.

After 4,102,720 votes cast in a period of four weeks, Yahoo! Philippines revealed the most popular web celebs at its second annual OMG! Awards on Friday, July 6, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Taking home the most prestigious title–the Celebrity of the Year award–was Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis who garnered 86,545 votes beating Shamcey Supsup, KC Concepcion, Sam Pinto and Marian Rivera.

Winning the Major Impact award with 102,827 votes was the Star for All Season, Gov. Vilma Santos. The Batangas Governor won over other contestants in the category that included Dolphy, Sharon Cuneta, Sen. Bong Revilla and Nora Aunor.

The Comedy King–Dolphy–on the other hand, received a plaque of recognition from Yahoo! Philippines for his contributions to the entertainment industry. The icon who is gravely ill continues to make millions of Filipinos laugh and forget about their problems through his films and TV shows.

TRAILER: ‘The Healing’ Starring Vilma Santos and Kim Chiu

ABS-CBN and Star Cinema pay tribute to the 50 illustrious years in showbiz of the Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos through a one-of-a-kind film titled, “The Healing.”

Vilma’s 50th anniversary movie is equally monumental as this is her first-ever suspense-horror movie. “It’s a perfect project after ‘In My Life,’ which was three years ago. And since I don’t do movies that frequent, I might as well give the public something different,” said Vilma. “This is my first time to do a suspense-horror and I’m so proud of it.”

Governor Vi shared that she is so elated with the fact that she is working now with some of the entertainment industry’s best, including the Master director Chito Roño. “I’ve been asking for so long for something this and I’m so glad that it’s finally happening. With the undeniable top caliber of Star Cinema, Direk Chito, and our award-wining cast, how can I go wrong!” she remarked.

Vilma added that she is particularly excited with her first movie project with one of ABS-CBN’s primetime princess Kim Chiu, “Honestly, Kim is a great actress and I can feel that her career will surely go far in showbiz,” she said.

True enough, “The Healing” is totally a new brand of suspense-horror that will surely make a mark in the Philippine horror cinema. “Stories about the Filipino tradition of going to faith healers for guidance and treatment of ailments have not yet been tackled in-depth in movies. And in our film, the viewers will not just be horrified, they’ll somehow be challenged to think as to how faith healing has already been part of the our culture,” Vilma narrated.

In honor of Vilma’s 50th anniversary, Star Cinema gathered an all-star highly acclaimed powerhouse cast composed of Kim, Pokwang, Mark Gil, Martin del Rosario, Allan Paule, Cris Villanueva, Daria Ramirez, Ces Quesada, Ynez Veneracion, Simon Ibarra, Abi Bautista, Joel Torre, Chinggoy Alonso, Mon Confiado, Carmi Martin and Pokwang.

“The Healing” opens in cinemas nationwide on July 25, 2012.

Kim Chiu Tests Character of PBB Teen Edition 4 Housemates

Primetime princess and first Teen Big Winner Kim Chiu has returned to the Pinoy Big Brother house this week to help Big Brother in bringing out the “PBB Teen Edition 4” housemates’ real personality.

As a former housemate who had once lived through social tension inside the closely monitored house, Kim will impart lessons and encouragement to the current housemates as well as bring positive influence to them.

Kim’s visit is just one of the four “Big Events” Big Brother has in store for the last four weeks of the program, which is slated to hold its Big Night on July 7.Meanwhile, Myrtle, Tom, and Yves landed on the chopping block this week. While Myrtle was automatically nominated in a task-related selection by the male housemates, the teens also voted for Tom, who allegedly spews offensive jokes, and Yves, who was accused of leading on Myrtle amidst being in a relationship with his friend in the outside world.

Kim Chiu joins Banana Split this Saturday, June 9!

Club Mwah was filled with laughs as Banana Split taped there with guest Kim Chiu. Kim is a natural comedian because she’s a cheerful person even off-cam.

“I feel happy. This is a new experience. Comedy is a different world for me,” Kim shared.

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim Lead 'Ina, Anak, Kapatid' Cast, ABS-CBN’s newest teleserye

My Binondo Girl hit tandem, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim will be paired up anew in the ABS-CBN upcoming teleserye, Ina, Anak, Kapatid. Kim and Xian (KimXi) will be joined by Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee and Mr. Eddie Gutierrez.

The said teleserye has long been announced although the cast was a bit different. In early reports, Jessy Mendiola admitted that she will be co-starring with Andi Eigenmann for this new teleserye. Apparently, the two had already been replaced by Kim and Maja. Andi is now one of the leads of Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan with Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca and Gabby Concepcion while Jessy Mendiola will be a part of Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Isla together with Matteo Guidicelli and Jewel Mische. Enchong Dee has been attached to the project since its conception while Martin del Rosario might have been replaced by Xian Lim. Joseph Marco was also previously reported as member of the cast but we don't know yet if he end up being replaced or his role retained.

Ms. Janice De Belen, after her well-praised performance in Budoy will again show her acting skills in Ina, Anak, Kapatid. I wonder if she will play the role of the mother (Ina) which was previously rumored to be given to Jaclyn Jose (the time when Andi was cast).

Based on early reports, Ina, Anak, Kapatid tackles two siblings which are ward to rivalry. Jessy Mendiola hinted that it will have Gossip Girl as a peg. However, we cannot conclude yet what will be taken as the story itself since the cast of Ina Anak, Kapatid will just be having their story conference today. Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson Reunited in New Movie!

Former on- and off-screen couple Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson will be reunited on the big screen for an upcoming movie in celebration of Star Magic's 20th anniversary.

Kim Chiu, in an interview with ABS-CBN news said that she already started shooting some scenes for the movie.

“Nagsimula na ako kahapon, pero hindi ko siya ka-eksena. Okay lang naman. Kung trabaho, trabaho. Magkaibigan naman talaga kami. Wala naman kaming pinag-awayan as kaming dalawa.” The said movie will also feature other Star Magic big stars and famous onscreen team ups. Aside from Kim and Gerald, the movie will also star Piolo Pascual, Jake Cuenca, Diether Ocampo, Pokwang, Angelica Panganiban and John Lloyd Cruz, the latter two even have their movie shoot in Vietnam.“Ang dami namin sa movie. Hindi siya naka-focus sa isang tao lang so ang daming mangyayari. May eksena kami ni Gerald, mayroon din sa ibang artista. Pero 'yung main story it’s all about love. Parang lahat ng bagay gagawin mo alang-alang sa pag-ibig,” Kim explained.

In the interview, Kim Chiu also said that she is happy for Gerald, who is being romantically linked to Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.“Super happy ako para kay Gerald. Sa kung ano man ang naabot niya ngayon sa personal life niya at sa career niya, masayang masaya ako.”Right now, Kim said she's enjoying the single life and is just waiting for Mr. Right to come.

"Siyempre naninigurado lang tayo. Mayroon naman kahit papano na (umaaligid). Na-e-enjoy ko naman ang nangyayari sa buhay ko ngayon na (single). Pwede naman magka-relasyon kung nandiyan 'yung tamang lalaki.”Kim is now being romantically-linked to his My Binondo Girl leading man, Xian Lim who admitted his admiration for the actress. Aside from the Star Magic movie, she is also busy with another movie, The Healing together with Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto and Pokwang.

Enrique Gil courting Kim Chiu?

Maging si Enrique Gil ay nagulat sa lumabas na balita na palihim daw siyang nanliligaw kay Kim Chui.

Pero agad itong itinanggi ng young actor nang makapanayam siya ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa ASAP 2012 noong Linggo, April 1.

“Kahit ako nagulat nang lumabas 'yan—hindi ako nanliligaw!" diin niya.

“At that time kasi, best friend ko si Matteo [Guidicelli], nag-mall show ako sa Cebu, e.

"Tamang-tama that time, yung My Binondo Girl, nag-mall show din sila sa Cebu.

“So, parang tinext ako ni Matteo, ‘Nandito kami sa Cebu, may dinner kami with the whole cast and family ko, kita tayo.’

“Ako naman umoo after ng show, so kasama ko yung handler ko, nagkita kami, and yun, nakilala ko si Kim.

“Taga-Cebu din pala siya. Dun kami unang nagkakilala.

"Nag-usap kami kasi hindi kami nag-uusap dito [sa Manila].

“'Tapos naging friends, nagkapalitan ng numbers, 'tapos text-text pero na-stop din.”

Bakit nahinto ang komunikasyon nilang dalawa? Hindi kaya natakot siya sa Kimerald fans na kilala sa pagiging possessive sa kanilang mga idolo?

Thousands of ‘JaNdy’ (Jade-Andy) fans of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim recently filled the SM Skydome in the grand fans’ day of their top-rating Primetime Bida drama series “My Binondo Girl.”

Dubbed as ‘love day,’ the event was a ‘thank you’ gift to the loyal viewers of the show, which will end on January 20. The cast treated their fans with a string of special surprises including a romantic duet of Kim and Xian; song numbers of Ai-Ai delas Alas, Cherry Pie Picache, and Richard Yap; plus a live piano performance from Xian.
