MUSIC VIDEO: David Archuleta – “I’ll Never Go

The music video of David Archuleta’s new single I’ll Never Go has just been released.

The song is the second single off of his OPM album titled Forevermore which was released on March 26. The album is composed of covers of well-loved OPM songs.

The music video of I’ll Never Go was shot in Manila during David’s stay here for TV5’s Nandito Ako. The drama series’ theme song with the same title is also included in the album.

Other tracks in the album are Forevermore (the carrier single), Rainbow, You Are My Song, Hold On, Wherever You Are, Maybe, Tell Me, and Reaching Out. Minus one of Forevermore, I’ll Never Go and Rainbow are also included.

I’ll Never Go was an original of the band Nexxus. It was also covered by Erik Santos in 2005.

David Archuleta Bids Farewell to Fans in His Last Video Blog – March 28, 2012

We all know David Archuleta has signed on for a two year Mormon Mission in South America. He posted his very last video blog today March 28 before he moves on to the next phase of his life.

We’ll miss you, David!

Obviously, he won’t be able to post on Twitter, Facebook ,etc, while he is away. In the video, he gets a little emotional. Aww. I can’t believe he’ll be gone for two years! Wow!

David Archuleta’s OPM album, Forevermore, will be released on Monday, March 26th, in Astroplus/Astrovision stores.

The album includes OPM hits from the likes of Jay Durias, Louie Ocampo, Jimmy Antiporda and Ogie Alcasid.

TV5 Achieves International Goal for ‘Nandito Ako’

What seems to be a simple move for TV5 to boost its popularity in the Philippines turns out to have a bigger objective.

By bringing over American Idol sensation David Archuleta to star in its primetime series Nandito Ako, TV5 has been successful in its aim to tap a global market as proven by the tremendous popularity the show has gained in different countries since it premiered last February 20.

Nandito Ako and other Nandito Ako-related phrases and hashtags (i.e., “Oh My Josh Bradley,” “Watch Nandito Ako Marathon,” “David Archuleta in Bunny Suit,” “Run Josh Bradley Run,” “Nandito Ako Week 2,” “David Archuleta is Josh Bradley,” among others) have been consistently figuring every night in Twitter trending topics not only in the Philippines but also worldwide. The show has also ranked high in Twitter trending topics in different countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam as well as in various states in the US. Further, David Archuleta’s first drama venture via Nandito Ako landed on the pages of international newspapers, magazines and online sites.

Screams and cheers from the audience were heard when David appeared onstage after Ogie sang the first stanza of his hit song "Nandito Ako."

Lucy Hale of “Pretty Little Liars” and David Archuleta of American Idol meet up at a Hollywood party hosted by Ben Chan last night, Friday, February 10.

The Hollywood party is Ben Chan‘s way of welcoming Lucy Hale as Bench’s newest endorser. But what is David doing at the party? Perhaps the American Idol alumnus is going to be a Bench endorser someday?

Meanwhile, Lucy Hale tweeted her delight after meeting David Archuleta in person:

American Idol star and international sensation David Archuleta performed his rendition of “Nandito Ako” for the first time on television during the International Edition of “Talentadong Pinoy” last night, Sunday, February 5.

“Nandito Ako” is also the title of David Archuleta‘s upcoming mini-serye on TV5 together with the Kapatid Network’s homegrown talents Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Cabellero.

David Archuleta, Now A Kapatid!

“American Idol” alum David Archuleta is now a Kapatid.

On January 8, TV5, through its Sunday entertainment program “Paparazzi: Showbiz Exposed” revealed that the 21-year-old singer will arrive in the country on Friday, January 13, to do a primetime series with the network.

David will star with TV5 actresses Eula Caballero and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
Minutes after the announcement, David Archuleta became a Twitter trending topic in the Philippines.

David finished second during the seventh season of “American Idol” in 2008.

The network has aggressively been signing Philippine superstars over the past two years, in 2011 drawing up contracts for the legendary Nora Aunor and "Megastar" Sharon Cuneta. TV5 also earlier signed deals with, among others, actresses Ruffa Gutierrez, Maricel Soriano, Lorna Tolentino, and Alice Dixon, and actors Aga Muhlach, Edu Manzano, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and legendary actor-comedian Dolphy for a variety of entertainment programs.

Archuleta's joining TV5 comes from left field, however. The signing of an international star of Archuleta's youth and talent, arguably in his prime, is bound to shake up the Philippine entertainment industry.
