After winning lots of awards for his Back to Bedlam debut album, Mr Blunt couldn’t just get away with it, as his fan base is numerically equal to the hate base.
The former soldier
decided to get into the music industry and the idea was, at least for him a good one, as his album was on the top of the musical charts of the UK.
Not everyone appreciates his over melodramatic vocals, so the voters have decided to award him a “worst album” Shockwaves NME trophy.
Both his singles released so far, “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye my Love” reached number one position in no time. And he also won certain Brits awards, but it seems he should get used to criticism as well.
Other contestants for the worst album trophy were Babyshambles, The Bravery, The Darkness and McFly.
Another prestigious “bad” award was given (in absence) to George W. Bush for “Villain of the Year”. James Blunt was also nominated for this award, as well as Pete Doherty and Tony Blair.
