“Survivor: Philippines” (Survivor USA Season 25) Premieres Sept. 19!

The 25th season of the original reality series “Survivor” (US) will feature the beautiful Caramoan Islands of the Philippines as its setting.

Survivor: Philippines is the twenty-fifth season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor, which is set to premiere on September 19, 2012.

According to a press release by CBS, this season will feature several new castaways competing with three returning castaways who were removed from their previous seasons due to illness or injury. It will be the first season since Survivor: All-Stars to begin with exactly three tribes and the seventh season overall to feature returning castaways.

The trailer for the 25th season “Survivor” says the Philippines is “its most treacherous location yet!”

So where in the Philippines? It’s in the beautiful Caramoan Islands in the southern part of Luzon.

We at PinoyPundit were the first to reveal to you last March that Philippines was indeed the chosen location for the latest season of Survivor USA.

TEASER: Survivor USA Season 25 is SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES!

Survivor: Philippines, airing this fall, will see the return of three players whose games were cut short due to medical evacuation. The season 25 promo, which aired at the end of Survivor One World finale, showed a montage of former Castaways who were removed due to injury or illness. It was said to be shot in the islands of Caramoan, Camarines Sur. (CLICK HERE to read the story.)

Also based from the video, here are the Tribal Names for the latest season: Kalabaw (Carabao), Tandang (Rooster) and Matsing (Monkey)

Survivor USA to film next 2 seasons in Caramoan, Camarines Sur!

Last year, there were speculations that Survivor USA will be shot in the Caramoan Islands in Camarines Sur. According to sources, the 25th and 26th seasons of the hit US reality show will indeed be shot and filmed in the Philippines, particularly in Caramoan Islands.  The  shooting is said to start this March.

The said islands had been a favorite for non-US survivor seasons in the past. The first one to film their survivor franchise in Caramoan, Cam Sur is Survivor France (Koh Lanta: Caramoan) in 2008. This elevated Caramoan's global popularity which eventually made other Survivor series to film in the said pearl. Eventually, Caramoan became the location for Survivor Israel, Serbia and Bulgaria in 2009. Survivor Israel and Serbia returned to the Caramoan in 2010 which also saw the shot of Survivor Sweden. In 2011, 4 more countries were added on Caramoan's credentials as a Survivor destination with Denmark, Norway, Belgium and India filming their own franchise of Survivor on the said islands.

The filming of Survivor USA in Caramoan is said to be the thirteenth season series of Survivor that will be filmed in the islands in Camarines Sur. From the beaches of Samoa in the South Pacific, Caramoan Islands is indeed a fresh new place for the 25th and 26th seasons of Survivor USA.
