Jessica Sanchez and Deandre Brackensick are officially a couple!

American Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez, 16, admitted to her fans via UStream that she is dating fellow Idol finalist Deandre Brackensick, 17.

During an internet video chat with her fans via Ustream, Jessica Sanchez teased her fans about her secret.

“I got a secret and I want you guys to guess,” she wrote.

A fan asked, “Got a Boyfriend?”

The 16-year-old Fil-Mexican answered without hesitation.

“Deandre. He’s my boyfriend. Love you guys. Byeeee!” was her quick reply.

Jessica and Deandre, along with the other 10 finalists, are currently on the road for the American Idol summer tour which will culminate in the Philippines on September 21, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Jessica Sanchez to Join ‘Glee’

American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will join the cast of Glee for a multi-episode arc, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Jessica Sanchez was pretty close to nabbing the American Idol win this season. In the aftermath of her loss, things began looking down for the songstress, whose perfect pitch was not enough to ensure her the full record contract Idol runner-ups in the past had been guaranteed. Luckily, the petite singer is only 16, which is plenty of time to get her act together with singing. As it so happens, 16 is a also great age to be if you are hoping for a stint on the hit Fox show, Glee.

Glee is gearing up for its fourth season on Fox and the show is currently reportedly in talks with Sanchez to see if they can find a role for the songstress. The stint will presumably be singing-based. Since Glee always has plenty of room for competitive singing rounds at McKinley High as well as through the various competitions the New Directions club becomes invested in, creating a character and a role for Sanchez does not seem as if it will a problem.

But a potential issue could arise in finding a time to fit her in mid-season. According to TV Line, because Sanchez is currently on the American Idol tour, she won’t be available to act in the show until she completes each of the legs of the tour. Glee does seem to want Sanchez to join the show for a multi-episode arc, however, it sounds like the details need to be kinked out before it becomes official.

It would be great to see Sanchez earn the opportunity to try her hand at acting, as well as singing. Hopefully, it won’t be much longer before news of this becomes official.

Jessica Sanchez Solo Concert in the Philippines Not True Says Promoter

Early reports claiming that American Idol 2012 runner-up Jessica Sanchez will be having a solo concert tour  in the Philippines in October was refuted by the 16-year-old singer’s promoter.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Tuesday that Jessica's 5-city concert tour in the Philippines was already in the bag but in a story published on the newspaper's website on Thursday, the Inquirer said Renen de Guia, head of the Ovation Productions, had sent them an e-mail denying Sanchez’s supposed series of solo shows.

Quoting the exact e-mail from de Guia to Inquirer’s reporter, he said: 

“There is no truth to the news item you put out the other day (June 19) in the Inquirer on Jessica Sanchez’ performing in 5 cities in the Philippines after American Idol. Jessica’s management company 19 Entertainment has tweeted the following: ‘Contrary to many false reports, @JSanchezAI11′s ONLY performance in the Philippines will be 9/21 in Manila as part of the Idol Live Tour.’”

The Inquirer also cited another source who said the person “who gave the go-signal to break the news that Sanchez’s Philippine tour has been confirmed may have acted in haste.”

“It was a premature announcement. There are no confirmed dates yet, although there are indeed negotiations ongoing. The Philippine tour may or may not happen,” the second source told the Inquirer.

Good news Jessica Sanchez fans! Jessica Sanchez will hold a series of concerts in the Philippines.

Aside from the Philippine leg of the Idol Tour which will happen on September 21, the Filipino-Mexican powerhouse will reportedly hold a series of solo shows in 5 cities in the Philippines.

Included in the list are Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Bataan. You’re probably wondering why Bataan. Well, that’s the hometown of Jessica’s mom and where her mother-side relatives are.

Jessica gained worldwide fame for joining and ending as the runner-up of the 11th season of American Idol. She recently sang the U.S. National Anthem at the PBS National Memorial Day Concert, as well as at the Pacquiao-Bradley fight and at the Game 1 of the current NBA finals.

Jessica Sanchez to Visit the Philippines in September for American Idol 2012 Live in Manila Tour!

Jessica Sanchez is coming to the Philippines as confirmed by concert producer Ovation Productions.

Jessica will be joined by the rest of the American Idol Top 10 finalists in the Manila stop of the show's world tour this September.

The 16-year-old Filipino-American-Mexican American Idol runner-up, whose mother Editha hails from Bataan, will be performing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for the 2012 edition of the "American Idol LIVE! Tour" on September 21.

The Philippines is the only country outside of North America that is included in the two-month tour, and is slated to be the finale show of the "Idol" finalists.

Fil-Mexican AI11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez will be singing the US national anthem Star Spangled Banner, this June 10 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the Pacquiao-Bradley boxing match. Thousands of people are expected to watch on the area, while millions are expected to watch in live stream via Pay-Per-View.

Jessica, a 16-year old performer, has recently emerged as the top contender, runner up of the recently concluded American Idol, where Phillip Phillips emerged as the season’s winner.

On the other hand, teenage singer Kirby Asunto from New Jersey, a Fil-Am, will sing the Philippine National Anthem, Lupang Hinirang on the same boxing night.

"American Idol" alumni Jessica Sanchez and Chris Daughtry joined more than a dozen other performers in the annual National Memorial Day Concert in Washington DC on Sunday, May 27 (Monday, May 28 in Manila).

The concert, broadcast live from the US Capitol's West Lawn, is staged annually on the eve of Memorial Day, a holiday honoring men and women who died serving in the US Armed Forces.

Sanchez opened the program with her singing the US national anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner," and later sang "The Prayer," one of her trademark songs from "Idol."

It is Sanchez's first performance since the "Idol" finale, where she lost the grand prize to Phillip Phillips.

Jessica Sanchez scores record deal, first album to be produced by Thalia's husband Tommy Mottola

Phillip Phillips may have won “American Idol” over Jessica Sanchez, but the Mexican/Filipino singer is already in talks to work on her new album with Tommy Mottola.

The former Sony Music Entertainment executive, who now co-owns Casablanca Records in a joint venture with the Universal Music Group, is ready to work Sanchez's music career.  

Mottola’s wife, superstar singer and actress Thalía, announced the news on Twitter.

“WOWgreat news! #TommyMottola just call me from #AmericanIdol & he is confirm to work in the first #JessicaSanchez CD!#MexicanFilipinoPower,” Thalía posted on her account.

Mottola, a veteran producer to music heavy weights such as Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan and even “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, is sure to help Sanchez launch a successful singing career.

Sanchez put on quite a show on Wednesday night’s “American Idol” finale, as she sang her heart out hitting high notes, leaving the audience speechless.

Sanchez, 16, performed “And I’m telling You I’m Not Going,” alongside Grammy-winning-singer Jennifer Holliday and proved once again why she was in the top two on “American Idol.”

It was certainly a battle of the lungs as both Holliday and Sanchez belted out impressive high notes and Jennifer Lopez jumped to her feet clapping and cheering loudly.

Sanchez also sang the late Whitney Houston’s classic track “I will Always Love You,” sporting a flowy blue gown.

Other Latino moments included the bedazzled performance by Jennifer Lopez with reggaeton rappers Wisin y Yandel, who sang "Follow the Leader.”

Lopez took it back to her urban days bumping and grinding with baggy pants, a tank top and sneakers. She also didn’t shy away from showing off her rock-solid abs.

Wisin Y Yandel landed on stage from flying poles as background dancers bounced around the walls performing impressive acrobatics to the beat.

Sanchez and Phillips took some time to honor their lifelong mentors and then revealed that they were getting brand new cars thanks to Ford.

Laney, an American girl, cried when Jessica Sanchez who was obviously her favorite contestant didn’t win American Idol 11.

She’s so affected when the name of Phillip Phillips was declared as the winner that she couldn’t help but cry.

You could even hear the sound of the television in the background with Phillip singing Home right after his win.

The crying girl was recorded on video by her mom and immediately uploaded it on YouTube, with a description that says: “This is our daughter after the results for American Idol 2012 when Philip Philips won.”
