Inside Showbiz Magazine just released a video featuring some of the men featured oin their 40 Hottest Men in The Philippines. The video featured them lip-syncing to the Backstreet Boy’s “As Long As You Love Me.”

‘One True Love’ Beats Rival Program in Mega Manila TV Ratings

Filipino viewers are continuously addicted with GMA Network’s drama series, One True Love, after the program’s impressive ratings performance on the weeknight primetime race.

According to the most widely recognized ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, One True Love kept its lead in TV ratings in Mega Manila which comprises 59.5 percent of total television households nationwide.

Based on average overnight household data recorded in viewer-rich Mega Manila from July 9 to 13, it remains matchless with 39.4 share points, versus its counterpart program which posted 33.3 points.

One True Love not only dominated its timeslot with high numbers but also became one of the most popular and well loved dramas of the Kapuso Network. The series, which premiered last June 11, quickly propelled lead stars Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes to stardom.

Alden as Tisoy and Louise as Elize are fast becoming household names as viewers get hooked to their characters and love story in the series. They recently put their professionalism to the test when they had to execute an underwater scene. Alden revealed he refused to have a stunt double and he even sustained bruises on his right ankle after the shoot. Louise, on the other hand, shared she overcame her fear of water after these crucial water scenes.

Under the helm of Andoy Ranay, One True Love also stars Jean Garcia, Raymond Bagatsing, Agot Isidro together with Bembol Roco, Caridad Sanchez, Benjie Paras, Carlene Aguilar, Tiya Pusit, Wynwyn Marquez and Lucho Ayala.

Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes Set to Become the Next Best Movie Loveteam

Kapuso teen stars Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes are starring in a romantic drama series entitled “One True Love” beginning this June on GMA-7.

Fan clamor for their tandem reached new heights following their memorable takes on the roles of Rico and Grace in “My Beloved.” That they were taken as the right screen couple to fill in a prime time slot previously occupied by the Marian Rivera-Dingdong Dante’s chemistry is an instant statement that rings aloud.

Directors and co-actors who have worked with both Alden and Louise in the past agree in saying that there’s something seamless seeing them together on screen.

The past two years this GMA Artist Center team-up has been on six projects, including “Alakdana” where their chemistry was cooked up, and three episodes of Spooky Nights, namely, “Singil”, “Parol”, and “Orasyon.”

In “One True Love,” Alden plays Tisoy while Louise acts as Elize. They are supported by veteran character acts Jean Garcia and Raymond Bagatsing, along with recording artist-cum-actress Agot Isidro. Andoy Ranay directs while La Diva interprets the theme song “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka” written by Ogie Alcasid.

This year, Alden, hailed for his performance as a cold-blooded killer in the film “The Road,” was feted by Golden Screen Awards in the “Breakthrough Performance by an Actor” category and PMPC Star Awards for Movie as “New Movie Actor of the Year.” In 2011 he was “Amazing Male Newcomer” at the 1st Yahoo OMG Awards. He is being predicted by industry observers as the next John Lloyd Cruz since he’s able to back up his boy-next-door appeal with believable portrayals.

Louise, on the other hand, was nominated by Yahoo as “Amazing Female Newcomer,” apart from winning the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award at FAMAS on the same year. Her on-screen presence gets bigger the moment she is paired with an equally good actor. Now showbiz experts are thinking she has the key to her ultimate individual success with Alden as her love team partner.

‘One True Love’ Debuts at No. 2 in Mega Manila TV Ratings!

“One True Love” starring Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes premiered at no. 2 last Monday night in Mega Manila TV ratings.

“One True Love” matched the 24.6% rating of the Richard Guttierez-Carla Abellana starrer “Makapiling Kang Muli” to score a 2nd place position in Mega Manila’s primetime race on its premiere last Monday night, June 11.

However, the new Kapuso primetime drama starring Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes dropped significantly to no. 6 on its second night.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s “Walang Hanggan” maintained its no. 1 position.

Here are the Top 10 daytime and primetime programs in Mega Manila for the period: June 11 and 12, 2012 according to AGB Nielsen Household Ratings:

‘One True Love’ Starring Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes Premieres June 11

GMA Network ups the ante of its primetime slate with the launch of another timeless and original drama series that promises to steal the televiewers’ hearts via “One True Love.” It will replace My Belovedbeginning June 11 on GMA Telebabad.

The Kapuso Network once again takes a bold risk in presenting a fresh and absorbing drama that will soon be winning the hearts of Filipino television audiences everywhere.

One True Love features the country’s bankable stable of stars in plum roles headlined by no less than GMA’s talented and promising artistAlden Richards as Tisoy together with the young and beautiful Louise delos Reyes as Elize. Alden and Louise land their biggest roles to date as the lead stars of this program about the enduring power of love between two people from two different walks of life.

Alden and Louise are both primed to star in this sweeping drama with their raw but powerful acting skills. The chemistry of the two onscreen is palpably strong and there has been brewing excitement among fans and viewers for Alden and Louise’s team-up.

Primetime viewing will never be the same again as GMA gathers in One True Love three of the country’s biggest and brightest actors in film and television: multitalented actress Jean Garcia as Ellen, the real mother of Tisoy; seasoned actor Raymond Bagatsing as Carlos, the workaholic and heartless husband of Leila and real father of Tisoy; and making her television debut as a Kapuso, versatile TV personality Agot Isidro as Leila, the scheming wife of Carlos. Agot is really excited and honoured to be part of the GMA family after signing a two-year exclusive contract with the network.

Completing the glittering roster of cast are Bembol Roco as Mayor Sandoval, the husband of Ellen who will help her take revenge on Carlos; Caridad Sanchez as Lola Tilda, the elderly woman who raised Tisoy; Benjie Paras as Douglas; Carlene Aguilar as Candice;Tiya Pusit as Yaya Brittany, the doting yaya of Elize; Wynwyn Marquezas Marla, the younger sister of Leila; Lucho Ayala as Troy, the rich suitor of Elize; Frencheska Farr as Violy.

The story of One True Love begins with Ellen, a hardworking janitress who falls madly in love with Carlos, a successful businessman who is already married to Leila. Unknown to Ellen, Carlos is not serious about their whirlwind romance and only becomes aware of his true feelings after finding out that she is pregnant.

Ellen tries to end her ties with Carlos after Leila starts attacking her. But Carlos wants to raise their child and tells Ellen that their child would have a better future with him. Ellen agrees with Carlos but unfortunately, Leila vehemently opposes this idea. She resents raising her husband’s illegitimate child so she plots a scheme to switch the child with someone else’s.

When Ellen gives birth, Leila is present to “help” out but in truth, she uses this opportunity to switch Ellen’s son with another newborn baby girl in the hospital. The moment Ellen sees her child, she immediately falls in love with her baby and tries to back out from the deal she made with Carlos. Furious, Carlos gets Ellen arrested for a fabricated crime so he can get full custody of their child. Helpless and powerless, Ellen swears vengeance on Carlos and Leila.

Meanwhile, Carlos showers his daughter Elize with love and attention not knowing that Leila switched Elize with his real child. His orphaned son grows up in the docks of Manila through the kindness shown by the people in the port district. Because of his mestizo and charming looks, he is given the moniker Tisoy. And by some weird twist of fate, Tisoy ends up working in the port owned by his real father Carlos.

Everything seems to be in place and going well for Tisoy and his adoptive grandmother Lola Tilda until one fateful night when he crosses paths with Elize, the rich daughter of Carlos. Tisoy is completely smitten with Elize’s beauty and she finds him charming too. Soon, the two become lovers and keep their romance a secret from Elize’s disapproving parents.

How long can Tisoy and Elize weather the odds of their forbidden romance? With Carlos and Ellen threatening to tear them apart, can the star-crossed lovers fulfill their destiny to once and for all be together even in the next lifetime? What will happen to Leila if her secret is finally revealed? What will be Carlos’ reaction if he finds out the truth about the real identity of Tisoy? Will Ellen continue with her scheme to separate Tisoy and Elize if the truth about their identities is exposed?

Sarah Lahbati denies romance rumors with John Prats, admits to a “special” liking for Alden Richards

Halos kalalabas lang ng balitang break na sina Bianca Manalo at John Prats kaya lalo sigurong nagtataka si Sarah Lahbati kung bakit inili-link siya kay John.

Wala raw siyang maisip na basehan para maugnay sila sa isa’t isa.

“Nagulat nga ako do’n,” sabi nga niya nang makausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa Party Pilipinas nuong Linggo.

“Actually, wala naman po. Walang gano’n.

“Nagkakilala lang kami sa Bench fashion show, yung ginanap sa Smart Araneta Coliseum. 

“Pero since then, never ko pa po siyang nakakausap. Ni text, wala po. Walang anumang communication.”

NEW RUMORS. Isa pang inili-link sa kanya ngayon ay si Alden Richard. Pero paglilinaw ni Sarah, close friends lang daw sila.

Pero aware ba siya sa balitang may matinding crush sa kanya si Alden?

“Totoo?” sabay ngiti ng Kapuso star.

“Uhm… sobrang special sa akin si Alden. Kasi matagal ko na siyang kilala. At napakabait niyang tao. 

“Bihira kang makakakita ng gano’n kabait at katotoong tao.

“So naa-appreciate ko yung mga ginagawa niya na hindi napapansin ng ibang tao. 

“Yung mga maliliit na bagay. And… thankful ako na we’re friends.”

Ano naman ang masasabi niya tungkol sa friendship nila ni Derrick Monasterio na dati’y aminado na nanliligaw sa kanya at ngayo’y parang hate na hate daw na matanong tungkol sa kanya?

“Magkaibigan pa rin po kami,” napabungisngis na reaksiyon ni Sarah.

“Siguro, kaya ayaw niyang natatanong patungkol sa akin, kasi pare-pareho lang ang tanong. 

“Kumbaga, pare-pareho rin lang kami ng sinasabi,” sabay tawa niya.

“Paulit-ulit na lang. E, wala naman talagang issue o anuman sa aming dalawa.

“Gano’n pa rin kami—we’re close friends. Wala namang nangyaring problema or away. 

“Magkaibigan pa rin po talaga kami.”

NEW ROLE. Sa ngayon, excited si Sarah dahil magsisimula nang umere ang bagong serye ng GMA 7 na Makapiling Kang Muli sa Lunes, June 4. 

Dalawa sila ni Carla Abellana na leading lady dito ni Richard Gutierrez.

“Super-saya naman ng taping namin. Actually nakarami na kami ng nai-shoot. 

“At malaking karangalan para sa akin na naisama ako sa cast ng show na ito.

“Something new para sa akin ang role ko rito. Laki akong Maynila. I come from a broken family then mapapadpad ako sa rancho. 

“And then, mami-meet ko si Richard. Pero boyfriend ko si Mark [Anthony Fernandez].

“Tapos no’ng napunta ako sa rancho, si Carla naman, pumunta ng Maynila. 

“So ang daming twist. Ang daming kaguluhan na mangyayari.

“Kami nga nasa-shock din sa script. Na week one pa lang, ang dami nang mga kaganapan. 

“Week four na ang sunod naming ite-tape na sobrang tindi and exciting.”

DARING. May kissing scene sila ni Richard?

“Meron. Pero hindi pa nakukunan.”

First kissing scene niya ba ito?

“Hindi. Sa Boy Pick-up The Movie, may kissing scene din kami ni Dennis [Trillo]. 

"So… hindi na ako nati-tense kung pakikipag-kissing scene ang pag-uusapan.”
