Wild Style was originally slated for release on 5-29-2012, but as Chuuwee hunkers down in the studio and puts the final flourishes to the album, it will be delayed until July/August 2012.

To hold over fans until then, Chuuwee has finished another mixtape, The Tape, which will be surfacing soon (and a second mixtape release before Wild Style hits is also in the works) and he also let go of the third leak from Wild Style for your enjoyment.

Inspired by Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, Big L, De La Soul with even hints of DMX, Wild Style promises to be Chuuwee’s break-out project, one that will showcase him as being a frontrunner lyricist from Hip-Hop’s new school; while also paying homage and respect to the great pioneers of the 1990’s.

 It’s that time of the year, XXL’s annual “Freshman List” was recently announced and with it comes the inevitable talking points that are generated by whom and who did not make the cut. While many fans have already added the young Sacramento spitter into the conversation, one thing is for certain, with the release of two new projects over the course of the next four-months, Chuuwee aims to prove he is definitely an emcee to watch and listen for.

Fresh on the heels of his recent appearance on Statik Selektah’s Population Control and joint mixtape, Watching The Throne (2011), with Fly Society, Amalgam Digital & DJbooth and his newly signed deal with Amalgam Digital, Chuuwee returns to the mixtape circuit with his new concept driven Crown Me King which will be released on 4-24-2012.  Loosely inspired by The French Revolution and The House of Bourbon Monarchy, Chuuwee takes parts of King Louis XII’s life and applies it to his own, while delivering his flow in narrative form, as he explains “I’m rewriting King Louie XII’s biography with a Hip-Hop spin on it. It’s going to go over a lot of people’s heads; but it tells a story. It sticks to the theme well, has multiple powerful messages and I also break a lot of barriers on Crown Me King.”
