ABS-CBN, in the tradition of well-planned and big teleseryes brings you Kahit Puso'y Masugatan. Starring Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca, Andi Eigenmann and Mr. Gabby Concepcion, Kahit Puso'y Masugatan will premiere this July 2012.

In Kahit Puso'y Masugatan, Iza Calzado and Andi Eigenmann will play the role of street kids in Quaipo, Manila. They grew up being best of friends until Andi was adopted by Gabby Concepcion's character. While Andi enjoys a better life, Iza remained to be a simple woman. Gabby Concepcion, Iza Calzado and Andi Eigenmann Teleserye to Shoot this April!

Actor Gabby Concepcion is back as a Kapamilya for a new teleserye! Gabby signed a contract with ABS-CBN yesterday, March 28 for this upcoming series. According to the actor, he will be joined by Iza Calzado, Andi Eigenmann and another one which is yet to be revealed.
Gabby Concepcion also said in an interview with ABS-CBN news that they will start taping for the said TV series this April although nothing is final yet on when it will air. Prior to this confirmation, there are reports that Gabby has been offered by GMA-7 a role in Richard Guttierez' upcoming series but the actor declined because he wanted to star opposite Iza Calzado. Gabby himself admitted in the interview that he loved the story of this new series with Iza and Andi."Magaling gumawa ang ABS-CBN ng story. Kahit noong una pa akong dumating noong 2008, napapanood ko, magaling."

According to Iza Calzado, the director of this upcoming teleserye will be box-office director Wenn V. Deramas.As to identity of the mystery lead cast, we can only hope that it is Angel Locsin as Gabby, Iza and Derek were once rumored to be doing a teleserye entitled Kapag Puso'y Sinugatan.

However, the odds that the remaining lead is a male actor is high. Iza and Gabby then Andi and who?Is Andi's teleserye with Jessy Mendiola and Enchong Dee already shelved? Well, that is what we need to find out the coming weeks. For now, let's be happy that another teleserye with top caliber actors is coming our way this year.

Iza Calzado Topbills ‘MMK’ this Saturday

ABS-CBN’s newest talent Iza Calzado finally fulfills her dream of starring in Asia’s longest-running drama series “Maalaala Mo Kaya” as she topbills this Saturday’s (March 10) episode alongside Kapamilya hunk Zanjoe Marudo.

Iza will portray the role of Liza, a woman who got into an unconventional affair with a man named Egay (Zanjoe) who was paired with her by a dying friend, who was incidentally Egay’s wife. Egay was reluctant at first but decided to respect his wife’s dying wish. Liza was also doubtful but accepted Egay because of her lingering fear of ending up as an old spinster. Can a relationship last a lifetime even without love? Or will love find its way to two people willing to open up their hearts for a second chance?

Iza’s first-ever ‘MMK’ episode also features Rica Peralejo, Lassy, Minnie Aguilar, and Deborah Sun. It was written by Maan Dimaculangan-Fampulme and directed by Nuel Naval.

Judy Ann Santos and Iza Calzado in “Mga Mumunting Lihim” (2012)

According to PEP, Judy Ann Santos and the new Kapamilya star Iza Calzado will work together in a 2012 film titled “Mga Mumunting Lihim“. The report said that they had started the first shooting day already.

“Mga Mumunting Lihim” was written and directed by Direk Joey Reyes and is one of the 5 entries in the Directors’ Showcase category of the 2012 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival to be held on July this year.

In this movie, Judy Ann and Iza will portray bestfriends who are harboring secrets from each other.

Meanwhile, watch out for Iza’s first episode in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” with Zanjoe Marudo this February.

Sarah Geronimo, Gutierrez twins and Iza Calzado to guest on Gandang Gabi Vice finale!

Sarah Geronimo is finally guesting on Gandang Gabi Vice this coming Sunday, February 19.

Last night, Vice announced on her successful talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” that she would be guesting Sarah Geronimo, Iza Calzado and the Gutierrez Twins (Richard and Raymond) on next weeks episode (Feb.19). This will also be the final episode for the said show as Sarah G’s own show will replace Gandang Gabi Vice.

Actress Iza Calzado is now a certified Kapamilya star.

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Iza Calzado is now a certified Kapamilya.

On Tuesday afternoon, Calzado signed a three-year-contract with ABS-CBN.

Present during the signing were ABS-CBN executives including the network's president Charo Santos-Concio.

"Una sa lahat, I'm grateful for all the opportunity that GMA-7 has given me for almost 10 years. But, I just think that this is time for me to grow, to evolve, to learn. I think it's just a matter of timing and I've always wanted to work again with people from Channel 2. Kasi noong nag-Star Cinema ako for 'Milan' sabi ko one day I'm sure I will work with them again. I guess this is just the way it works. It's just a business and at some point we will make a certain decision and hopefully without burning bridges," Calzado said.

The actress admitted that it was a hard decision for her to move to ABS-CBN, explaining that she will really miss people she worked with, including Eat Bulaga's main hosts Joey de Leon, Vic Sotto and Senator Tito Sotto.

"Isa sa pinakamahirap na desisyon sa akin na iwanan ang Eat Bulaga. You can never understand what it is like unless you were part of that family. Napakabait nila and it takes a certain personality to jell with them and I was fortunate enough to have that kind of personality and they are very fun kaya lang I really need to do this. I'm sure maiintindihan nila," she said.

According to Calzado, included in her contract are a television series and reality show. She is also set to do a film.

"What I am allowed to disclose at this very moment is mayroon po akong drama show at magkakaroon ako ng reality TV show. Hindi naman ito tungkol sa buhay ko, kaya huwag kayong mag-alala di niyo ako susundan sa bahay ko," she said.

According to speculations, Calzado is being eyed to host the second season of "Pinoy Biggest Loser," replacing Sharon Cuneta.

In the interview, Calzado said she would like to do a project with actors Piolo Pascual and John Lloyd Cruz.

"So far gusto kong makasama ulit si Piolo, gusto ko siyang makasama di lang dahil sa crush ko siya kung di nakasama ko na siya sa 'Milan.' Gusto ko ding makasama si John Lloyd and I know that soon, I think, I will be working with him and, of course, Jericho Rosales and a lot like the younger ones like Gerald Anderson. I'm not saying that I wanna work with them because I wanna paired up with them, not necessarily. I really wanna work with people and I want to see what they're like."

"Sa (female stars) I would like to work with Judai (Judy Ann Santos). I want to work with Bea (Alonzo) who established a very good reputation as far as acting is concerned. Si Angelica Panganiban is a very strong character and a very strong actress as well. Si Karylle and Jodi Sta. Maria, I really want to work with them," she said.

She also said that as a new Kapamilya star, she's now ready to face tougher competition.

"At the end of the day it (competition) serves as a motivation and challenge but I'm not going to take anyone's place. I would like to make my own space and fill up a certain niche that maybe only I can fill," she said.

Iza Calzado is the next “Biggest Loser” host! Now a Kapamilya!

Rumors has been circulting lately that Iza Calzado is turning Kapamilya this year!

And what is more surprising to hear is that she is going to be the next host of the up-coming season of “The Biggest Loser“.

If rumors were true I would be glad to see a really fit host for the show. She has transformed herself also and made a big effort to attain the weight she is in right now. She was a bit chubby then but now she is a perfect example and the show will be tailor made for her.
