Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto Official Trailer

ABS-CBN released the official trailer for the return of Kapamilya Gold's no. 1 program, Angelito: Batang Ama. The book 2 of the series is entitled Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto.

The original cast will return for the sequel with an additional cast and an exciting story that will surely glue viewers on TV every afternoon.

JM de Guzman reprise his role as Angelito, who is now married to his childhood friend Rosalie played by Charee Pineda. Kaye Abad also returns as Jenny who is now pregnant with Angelito's child. Meanwhile, John Prats is the newest addition to the main cast, playing Jenny's childhood friend and new love interest.

Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto will premiere this Monday, July 16 on ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold right after It's Showtime (2:45 PM).

“Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto” Official Cast and Trailer revealed

The well-loved afternoon drama Angelito: Batang Ama will soon be back on television as Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto.

Aside from JM De Guzman who plays Angelito, members of the original cast that are included in the upcoming series are Kaye Abad as Jenny, Charee Pineda as Rosalie, Joshen Bernardo as Jun-jun, Bea Basa as Mai-Mai, and the “looban” friends of Angelito and Jenny - Josef Elizalde as Charlotte, Beauty Gonzales as Seksi, Jason Francisco as Mervin, and Lemuel Pelayo as Arthur. Elizabeth Oropesa will also be in the cast.

John Prats, the new addition to the lead cast, is also in the teaser. He will play the new partner of Jenny.

Seiichi, Devon Seron, Sam Concepcion and Aldred Gatchalian will also be part of the cast.

While the teaser shows Angelito, Rosalie and Jun-jun being a happy family, it also reveals that Angelito had a kid with Jenny. And I guess it’s the main plot the series will play around with.

Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto is coming soon on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold (afternoon) block.

JM De Guzman back on afternoon TV with “Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto”

The JM De Guzman-starrer Angelito: Batang Ama was successful enough during its run that ABS-CBN is making a second book of the series – Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto.

JM De Guzman will reprise his role as Angelito, as well as Charee Pineda as Rosalie and Kaye Abad as Jenny.

New characters are going to be introduced, though, and one of them is a major one that will be played by John Prats.

The “looban” friends of Angelito and Jenny in the first book will also be in the new one. Josef Elizalde, Beauty Gonzales, Jason Francisco and Lemuel Pelayo will also reprise their roles as evident in the photo above.

Theodore Boborol, who directed the previous series, will also be directing Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto.

Sam Concepcion and Devon Seron, the love team from the ABS-CBN afternoon soap opera “Angelito Batang Ama”, created a buzz online as SamVon (combined names of Sam and Devon) trended on Twitter Philippines.

‘SamVon DiKoMasabiSaIyo Tere&Migoy’ trended on Twitter last Tuesday after their fans talked about their duet in one of the scenes in Angelito: Batang Ama.

Sam and Devon play Migoy and Tere and here’s the video of them practicing the song “Di Ko Masabi Sa ‘Yo” which also created online buzz:
