ESPN The Magazine today announced the complete list of athletes that made the cut for the “2012 ESPN Body Issue.” Set to hit newsstands on July 13, just two weeks prior to the start of the London Games, the magazine also disclosed that the 2012 issue will feature 6 nude covers and will spotlight U.S. Olympians, including decathlete Ashton Eaton, track superstar Carmelita Jeter and the women of the U.S. Volleyball team.
The much-anticipated issue is an exploration of the wide variety that is the athletic form, demonstrated through creative photography, in-depth interviews and a variety of features including “Bodies We Want,” where the magazine uses photos to highlight the sleekest physiques in sports.
